Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:00, our shop is located on-site and ready to welcome you. Every purchase you make goes a long way in helping us care for animals in need. Whether you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe or add new treasures to your home, we invite you to browse and shop for a great cause.
Donations of gently used clothing and household items are always appreciated and help us continue our essential work in the community. Together, we can make a difference!

In addition to our on-premises shop, you can find us every Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00 at Pick n Pay Primrose for our weekly book sale.
If you’re looking to make room for more books at home, we gladly accept donations of pre-loved books to help further our cause.

How to Leave a Bequest
When planning your Will, consider including a bequest to the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA. Here’s how you can make a difference:
- Residuary Gift: Leave the residue or a percentage of your estate after all other gifts, debts, and expenses have been settled. This type of gift keeps pace with inflation and ensures your legacy retains its value over time.
- Pecuniary Gift: Specify a fixed sum of money. We recommend arranging for this amount to keep pace with inflation to maintain its value.
- Specific Gift: Bequeath an item of value, such as property, jewellery, or stocks, to support our mission.
Suggested Wording for Your Will
To include a bequest to the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA, you can use the following wording:
“I (full name), of (address), give, devise, and bequeath (the residue/xx% of my estate/the sum of R________) to the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA, a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO No. 001-869 NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO No. 930014191), located at 12 Junction Road, Driehoek, Germiston, to be used at the discretion of the Society. The receipt of an authorised officer of the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA shall be an absolute discharge to my executors.”

Support our mission by setting up a monthly debit order! Your regular contributions provide crucial, sustainable income, allowing us to plan ahead and ensure that our work continues uninterrupted. Every donation helps us care for animals in need, provide veterinary assistance, and offer a safe haven for abused or abandoned animals.
By becoming a Changemaker, with a commitment of just R100 per month, you directly support our Inspectorate, a team dedicated to rescuing animals from cruelty and neglect. Your contribution ensures that we can investigate cases of abuse and take action when animals are in distress.

Whether you choose to give a general monthly donation or join our Changemakers campaign, your support plays a vital role in protecting animals and making a lasting impact.
Make a lasting difference by sponsoring a kennel for R300 per month or R3000 per year, payable via debit order or recurring EFT. Your sponsorship directly supports the upkeep of the kennel itself and the care of the animal/s residing in it. Your contribution ensures a safe and well-maintained space for animals in need.
This sponsorship is a meaningful opportunity for businesses to market themselves, as each kennel is equipped with a sponsorship board displaying your name or business logo. It’s also a beautiful way to honour a deceased loved one or pet or to give a unique gift in lieu of a birthday present.
Your sponsorship not only helps us provide care for the animals but also leaves a lasting legacy of compassion.
Join us in making a difference! We offer two types of volunteering opportunities:
1. Fundraising Volunteers
If you’re passionate about supporting our mission, you can assist in our charity shop, bookshop, weekend booksales, or at local markets. General fundraising support is always appreciated, helping us raise the funds we need to continue our vital work. Any volunteers handling cash or payments will require a Police Clearance Certificate.
2. On-Site Volunteers
Help out directly at our SPCA by volunteering in the kennels, assisting with general cleaning, providing enrichment activities for our animals, and more. It’s a hands-on way to contribute to the welfare of animals in our care. A volunteer application will have to be made.
Please note that volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while volunteering on-site.
